Armytek Wizard C2 WR Magnet USB

IMPRESSIVE RED AND WHITE OUTPUT IN ONE FLASHLIGHT

The runtime of up to two months on the Armtek Wizard C2 WR Magnet USB is impressive compared to the previous model, which was only one month. This Armtek Wizard C2 WR Magnet USB model features strong red and white LEDs so you have a choice of LED color depending on your needs.

It is ideal for use in any setting as the primary or supplementary light source. In a camping tent, whether reading maps or viewing the stars, when fishing, hunting, cycling, or for professional applications, the flashlight is suitable for accomplishing tasks in the dark or keeping your night vision when switching between turning the light on and off.

When there is fog or any condition that reduces visibility, the additional red light with 230 lumens is the most effective type of lighting. It can be used either as a warning beacon or as a rear bike light. The model is anticipated to be well received by anglers and hunters alike because the red light does not frighten away fish or animals. A further benefit of the Armytek Wizard C2 WR Magnet USB for outdoor activities is that it enables the user to use the flashlight without drawing the attention of bothersome insects.

The included accessories allow for several different attachment methods: on your head with the help of a head mount, on clothes or a backpack strap with the help of a clip, and on metal surfaces with the help of the magnet in the tailcap. In addition to being compatible with the optional ABM-01 and AHM-02 mounts, the Armytek Wizard C2 WR Magnet USB is an excellent choice for use in professional settings or during bike trips.

This RED Light Rocks!

Working on a farm and living near a big creek, we have a TON of bugs that come out at night. That being said, a headlamp with a strong red light function is imperative to not getting a face full of bugs the minute you turn on the headlamp.
The Armytek C2 WR works great for my nightly chores! If you need a powerful red light (that offers several reasonable lower levels as well), this is the best one that I’m aware of.
The white light function is very good as well, and on every mode, the beam is the most even (floody) light that I own. I have both the warm and cool tint version of this light and prefer the warm version most of the time, but the cool version is still a very good quality light and if doing a more active task, promotes more “attention and concentration” than the warm one, if that makes sense.

It also has been very efficient with regard to battery consumption. I’m even adapting to the single button user interface. (I do wish that lights like these would offer a separate button to access the red light functions, as opposed to just one button that controls everything. The reason is this; if you last used a bright white light function, didn’t remember, and then turn it on at night expecting to preserve your eyes night-adapted vision, you are in for a surprise until you can quickly double-click over to the red function. This can cause your pupils to react and spoil your night-adapted pupils for a second.
Not a deal breaker, just an inconvenience.
To lessen the impact, I just have conditioned myself to always turn it on in moonlight mode at first. That way, even if it comes on in white light mode, it’s dim.

Killzone Flashlights provides great customer service and ships quickly, I will be buying more from them.

Working great so far

Have only had it for a little while but it is working great. Love the settings and the red when hunting. It feels like it's really built tough. I dropped it from the top of my tree stand about 15 feet down to the forest floor and it didn't even flicker, only suffered a minor scratch. Luckily it was a full moon out I was able to climb down to get it. Haven't dropped it in water or used it in rain yet but going on a steelhead trip in a couple weeks. Overall so far it is working great as it's advertised and it's built tough and I do recommend it.

great light

Not seriously field tested yet but have used casually. The build quality is amazing and the matte anodization of the metal feels great in the hand. Light gets bright on both white and red and the controls are simple.

A very handy headlamp

I’ve had the Wizard C2 WR for a couple weeks now and, have had it out on one short camping trip. I’m fairly pleased with it overall.
The higher modes are quite bright so I mostly stick to lowest two. The beam is nice and floody in all settings.
The Wizard was exceptionally hand while camping with my family. The minimum output modes are great for getting just enough light to see what you’re doing in a tent without waking anyone and, the magnetic tail cap let me stick the light to a cot and get dressed without actually having to wear the headlamp.
This is my first 90° angle headlamp and I was curious about how it would handle. The headband allows for plenty of adjustment and is in no way awkward as I thought it might be.
My only gripe is with the charging. The magnetic charger is great but, the 1/4 unscrew to charge feels a little finicky somehow. It may just take some getting used to.
All in all I quite like the Wizard and will probably be getting one for my wife as well.

Like the original but different

So, this is my third one of the Wizard WR. This one is different from the original version. The head is slightly larger and overall length is slightly shorter. If there’s any difference on brightness or color I can’t really tell with the naked eye. I like the white and red options and the fact that they blink as well. The “frosted” lens or whatever you call it gives the light a nice even wash and yet it’s bright enough to reach out to things far away. I use them at work, on a road while bicycling (one on the front and one on the rear), I use them for night hikes, mountain bicycling, camping, just a light to carry in my pocket. I used headlamps almost everyday at work. They’re great. I had a problem with the very first one I got in the original version. I sent it back and got a different one in return. I haven’t had any problems with all three since. I don’t use the batteries that come with them They don’t hold enough juice to last me the time frame I like so I brought different ones and use the ones that come in the light in a battery bank. Plus, the first one that I purchased I only had problems with that first one when using armyteks battery that came with it so just don’t use their batteries. Maybe the newest version of batteries are ok but I just don’t use their batteries since that first one. Great flashlight! Maybe not so much on the batteries?

Products red light can’t as bright as expected, but would purchase again. Killzone was/is top notch as usual.

Exposed button = problems

It seems obvious in hindsight, but the very exposed button is easily activated on accident. This resulted in the light flickering (not strobing) until I took the battery cap off and put it back on, and eventually, the brightness switching function to completely stop working.

I'll be looking for something else, with a recessed button, in the near future.
