Absolutely Fantastic Headlamp

This is a great light. The headband is very comfortable. The mount allows for easy removal, which is way better than most headlamp mounts. The beam pattern is pretty great for a headlamp, though some may prefer a slightly floodier beam. The Nichia emitter renders colors beautifully. This is easily the best headlamp I've ever used and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality headlamp.

Heavy, and the magnetic proprietary charger is a bummer.

This was my EDC bag carry and I'd sometimes switch to pocket carry swapping out for it's younger sibling, the H150. I'm a fan of headlamp 90 degree configuration. While I've only used it as an actual headlamp once, it's a fine light that fits well, even on my big head. I will say that the straps were a beast to figure out at first and there were no assembly instructions (hint look at illustrations of them completed online). I really like how it illuminates, it's bright and fills well. I find the flood pattern to be a good balance between normally overly-floody headlamps and tighter hand lights. The menu system took some getting used to but I've got it down now and it makes sense (plus it shares the same menu with the h150 - a plus if you use both). I like that it's got the low setting with push-button when it's in the locked state. I keep it that way and use it to illuminate my way around at night without waking folks.
Ultimately, though, I'm kicking it to the curb for two reasons. First, with the battery in the light, this thing is pretty heavy. That doesn't particularly matter cause I'm gonna carry 18650s no matter what, but even without the battery this thing feels heavy in my hand. Not the worst for a bag EDC but for pocket it just doesn't work. And I carry a lot of stuff in my bag, so for me, every ounce actually makes a big difference. To be fair, I'm not sure there are lighter headlamps that double as hand lamps - but I'm on the hunt. Second, and far more important, this thing has a proprietary magnetic charger. While the company will tell you this is a selling point, as it allows for the light to remain sealed but still have an external charger, I can say it's ultimately not a good feature. First, the charger is not commonly available. Killzone offers them inexpensively, but that doesn't make it convenient. Second, and more importantly, while most of my EDC is titanium, there are still some things that aren't, and anything that is steel will be attracted to the charger port of this thing. Total pain in the backside to pull out your light only for your keyring to come tumbling out (or vice versa). I told myself a while back I'd never carry another magnetic device in my EDC. I made an exception for this light, but it just doesn't work at the pocket level. I will happily keep this as a backup headlamp in my vehicle, but for day to day carry, it needs to be non-magnetic, and ideally a little bit lighter.
